Spreadsheet versus a booking page
When a shared sheet is enough, and when a branded stay page with occupancy is worth switching.

Sheets work until they do not
Many small kennels run a Google Sheet: dates across the top, kennels down the side, colours for booked. That is honest and cheap. It breaks when two people edit at once, when guests need a link instead of a phone number, or when you want a card deposit without copying totals by hand.
Petuler is that grid plus a public page: guests pick dates, see free kennels, and you confirm or take a deposit. You still get an occupancy board in the dashboard.
What we do not claim
A spreadsheet can do pivot tables, custom formulas, and staff rotas. Petuler does not. If your operation is mostly internal planning with no guest-facing booking, a sheet may still be the right tool.
